What you will do

• Lead a high-performing team of Design and Release Engineers and Technical Specialists to deliver GVDP milestones.
• Serve as the technical expert for hard trim and overhead systems, driving design reviews and ensuring functional performance.
• Champion DFMEA quality, robust design, and DFSS methodology to lift global quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Design Studio, Vehicle Architecture, and Manufacturing to balance craftsmanship, feasibility, and cost.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of accountability and technical maturity.
• Drive technical issue resolution and ensure alignment with system safety, quality, and program leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• 15+ years of automotive engineering experience, specifically in hard trim and overhead systems.
• Proven people leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams.
• Expertise in injection molded trim, headliner materials, and overhead console hardware/software.
• Must be authorized to work in the US; GM does not provide immigration sponsorship.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Nice to have

• Master of Science in Engineering or MBA.
• DFSS Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Recognized technical knowledge through patents or industry forums.
