Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to McLean, VA or New York City, NY. This is an on-site role requiring Monday through Friday office attendance.

What you will do

• Define and execute the alternative investments strategy, including private equity, credit, real estate, and hedge funds.
• Lead sourcing, due diligence, and manager selection to secure institutional-quality opportunities for members.
• Oversee capital deployment at scale, managing billions in AUM while ensuring alignment with member risk profiles.
• Partner with Engineering and Product teams to automate workflows for subscriptions, capital calls, and reporting.
• Establish KPIs and performance metrics to monitor portfolio health and platform efficiency.
• Build and mentor a high-performing investment team while ensuring regulatory and compliance standards are met.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in alternative investments, private markets, or institutional asset allocation.
• Proven track record of scaling alternatives platforms and deploying significant AUM.
• Deep expertise in fund structures, manager selection, and due diligence processes.
• Strong existing network of relationships with general partners and fund managers.
• Must be able to work on-site in McLean, VA or New York City, NY.
• Expertise in regulatory and operational requirements specific to alternative asset classes.
