TL;DR

Legal Counsel (Employment Law): Supporting teams across hirify.global GB on a wide range of employment-related queries and litigation with an accent on UK and global employment law and anti-racist strategies. Focus on delivering practical guidance to balance legal and reputational risks while advancing equity and inclusion across the organisation.

Location: Hybrid (Oxford, UK) - requires office attendance one day per month

Salary: £58,800 – £68,000

What you will do

  • Advise country programmes and HR colleagues on complex employment law matters globally and within the UK.
  • Support the application of law to advance Equality and Anti-Racist Strategies, including positive action measures.
  • Provide commercially astute legal advice on broader strategic priorities beyond employment law.
  • Draft and review HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
  • Produce guidance notes and training materials for internal stakeholders.
  • Manage legal risks and prioritise workloads in alignment with organisational priorities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years PQE and legally qualified in the UK.
  • Experience advising on complex UK employment law, including investigations and whistleblowing.
  • Ability to support international colleagues on employee relations, disputes, and litigation.
  • Proven experience in drafting HR policies and procedures.
  • Strong ability to balance detail-oriented work with big-picture strategic thinking.
