What you will do

• Act as a trusted advisor to the People function and leadership on complex employment law matters including grievances, redundancies, and restructures.
• Provide deep technical knowledge on legal aspects of employee relations and ensure compliance with evolving workplace regulations.
• Lead the handling of employment tribunal claims and manage negotiations with external counsel.
• Draft and review employment contracts, handbooks, and workplace policies.
• Identify potential legal risks in workforce decisions and propose effective mitigation strategies.
• Support the Legal Team with additional advice on supplier and client contract negotiations.

Requirements

• Qualified Lawyer in the UK or another Common Law Jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
• Strong expertise in employment law as a core skill set.
• Proven experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department.
• Ability to balance commercial awareness with independent legal judgment.
• Strong drafting skills and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Previous in-house legal advisory experience.
• Experience with international employment law advisory.
