Payments Manager

Location: St Peter Port, Guernsey; flexible hybrid working

What you will do

• Lead the Payments team and ensure accurate, timely processing across banking portals.
• Manage client bank accounts, maintain positive balances, and communicate changes promptly.
• Maintain payment trackers, reports, and accurate client records.
• Drive billing activities, prepare analysis, and ensure invoices are accurate and timely.
• Train staff on electronic banking systems, coordinate new bank accounts, and implement new banking systems and users.
• Supervise payment officers through staffing, coaching, performance management, and problem solving.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar payments or banking operations position.
• Experience with general banking platforms and advanced computer literacy.
• Proven people management experience and strong organisational skills.
• Analytical, solution-oriented, self-driven, and able to work independently under pressure.
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, integrity, and dependability.
• Ability to act as a “B” level four-eyes signatory while following company, professional, and regulatory guidelines.
