Software Development Manager (DynamoDB)

hirify.global Web Services develops and operates cloud infrastructure and services, including the DynamoDB database platform.

What you will do

• Lead a team of engineers building reliable, highly scalable distributed systems for DynamoDB.
• Translate business goals and product direction into technical requirements, architecture, and detailed designs.
• Execute multi-engineer, cross-team projects and drive prioritization, delivery, and project management practices.
• Lead design reviews and establish technical best practices across the engineering team.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle, including design documents, code reviews, implementation, deployment, and operations.
• Analyze service data and identify opportunities to improve performance, safety, discoverability, and efficiency.

Requirements

• Knowledge of engineering practices across the full software, hardware, and network development lifecycle.
• Experience managing engineering teams and working as an engineer.
• Experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Experience partnering with product and program management teams.
• Knowledge of coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and live-site operations.

• Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership about requirements, product features, technical designs, and strategy.
• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing software engineering teams.
