What you will do

• Lead and consult the Advanced HGA Process Development technical team on early-stage invention and feasibility.
• Own the technical direction of early development to ensure a pipeline of scalable and innovative concepts.
• Oversee metrology strategies and modeling roadmaps, focusing on slider attachment and HDD head interconnect technologies.
• Champion and institutionalize a KPIV/KPOV engineering discipline to foster a data-driven decision-making culture.
• Develop tool concepts and equipment strategies in collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Partner with US-based design and materials teams to align process development with future architecture.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in materials science or advanced process development.
• Deep research background in nano-materials, metals, or metal-composite materials.
• Experience leading technical teams through ambiguous early-stage development cycles.
• Strong proficiency in data-driven engineering, structured problem solving, and statistical thinking.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and influence design decisions.
