What you will do

• Develop and take ownership of new lapping and pitstop processes to meet writer and reader requirements and improve yield.
• Design assembly tooling and machinery based on mechanical and electrical design concepts.
• Research chemical properties of lubricants and slurries to simplify and optimize existing processes.
• Collaborate with operation shop floor teams, including manufacturing and equipment engineering, to execute new technologies.
• Manage the transfer of technology and processes between different sites or departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Experience in Hard Disk Drive (HDD) or Electronic Manufacturing.
• Proficiency in mechanical design, process development, and process improvement.
• Strong problem analysis skills using 6-sigma, Kepner Tregoe, and CAPA8D.
• English: Fluent (C1) communication skills, both spoken and written, are required.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Korat, Thailand.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in CAD design or simulation tools.
• Experience with basic automation control systems.
• Prior experience in programming and software development.
