What you will do

• Lead and build a multi-disciplinary Advanced HGA Process Development team, covering process, materials, tooling, and software.
• Own the technical direction of early-stage process invention, ensuring a pipeline of innovative and scalable concepts.
• Drive core process capabilities, including slider attach, adhesive dispense, and interconnect technologies.
• Establish and enforce KPIV/KPOV engineering disciplines for data-driven decision making.
• Develop tool concepts and equipment strategies in collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Build and manage lab capability and infrastructure in Thailand to enable rapid prototyping and experimentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in engineering leadership, specifically in HDD manufacturing, precision assembly, or advanced process development.
• Strong background in tool design or manufacturing engineering with the ability to guide multi-disciplinary technical work.
• Experience leading teams in ambiguous, early-stage development environments from concept to validation.
• Solid understanding of structured problem solving and statistical thinking.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and influence design and product decisions.
• Track record of building and developing high-performing technical teams.
