TL;DR

Manufacturing Specialist II (HDD Production): Leading and overseeing all aspects of the backend HDD manufacturing process with an accent on equipment maintenance, manpower deployment, and production training. Focus on ensuring high-quality output, resolving operational issues in collaboration with engineering teams, and maintaining strict adherence to quality standards.

Location: Onsite in Woodlands, Singapore. Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

What you will do

  • Lead production processes, including equipment set-up, maintenance, and fabrication.
  • Manage manpower deployment and operate automatic or semi-automatic machinery.
  • Perform complex electrical tasks and conduct On-The-Job training for operators.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams to resolve production issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and track key operational metrics.
  • Handle labeling, packing, and palletizing of parts and equipment using lifting tools.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate a small team in a production environment.
  • English: B2 level required (ability to read and understand Work Instructions).
  • Physically able to carry items up to 3kg and stand/walk for 4 to 7 hours.
  • Availability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in the Back-End manufacturing industry.
  • Experience as a senior operator, trainer, line leader, or cell lead.
