TL;DR

Sales Director (Media): Driving new business growth for hirify.global's newsroom analytics platform with an accent on full-cycle sales, from proactive outbound prospecting to closing. Focus on building consultative relationships with media companies and translating audience insights into meaningful business conversations.

Location: Must be based in the US or Canada (fully remote)

Compensation: $200,000 ($100,000 base / $100,000 variable)

What you will do

  • Prospect and win new business from global media companies and publishers of all sizes.
  • Own the full sales cycle, including qualification, virtual demos, trial management, and negotiation.
  • Build and manage a high-volume pipeline using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email, and phone.
  • Research prospect KPIs to tailor commercial proposals and data-driven presentations.
  • Maintain accurate CRM hygiene in Salesforce to provide visibility into pipeline health.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the US or Canada.
  • 3–7+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience (media industry experience is a major plus) OR 5+ years of experience as a news anchor, reporter, or journalist.
  • Proven ability to communicate persuasively across multiple audiences and execute high-level storytelling.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Salesforce CRM.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry conferences.

Nice to have

  • Track record of exceeding aggressive sales quotas in a hunter role.
  • Strong consultative selling and objection-handling skills.
  • Experience with newsroom analytics, audience engagement tools, or media workflow systems.
