What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain resilient backend services, APIs, and user-facing features.
• Integrate AI-assisted development tools into the workflow for generating and validating production code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of PMs and designers to solve complex technical problems.
• Improve system reliability and performance through strategic refactoring and code reviews.
• Take full ownership of production issues, from investigation to resolution.
• Drive projects from concept to completion, delivering pragmatic value to users.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience building and maintaining web applications in a team environment.
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in a backend programming language and relational databases.
• Experience using AI development tools like Copilot or Claude.
• Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment in Toronto or Saskatoon.

Nice to have

• Experience in the restaurant-tech domain.
• Hands-on production experience with Elixir.
