What you will do

• Maintain and debug core legacy applications built with Classic ASP, VBScript, and SQL Server.
• Document undocumented business logic to support the transition to a modern .NET, React, and AWS architecture.
• Leverage AI coding assistants to refactor legacy code while adhering to security protocols.
• Perform complex SQL Server querying and performance tuning on dynamic data models.
• Execute defined scopes of work within Jira-driven Agile sprints.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive engineering tasks using AI tools.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, primarily with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend development using React and TypeScript.
• Strong backend and database skills with SQL Server and complex querying.
• Familiarity with containerization using Docker and cloud deployment (AWS).
• Pragmatic willingness to maintain legacy codebases while working toward modernization.
• Proficiency with Git, GitHub, and Agile/Jira workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with Entity-Attribute-Value (EAV) database schemas.
• Strong problem-solving skills for navigating complex, undocumented systems.
