What you will do

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for complex components including fluid handling, pneumatics, electrical assemblies, and material processing.
• Lead the supplier selection process from RFx to award, incorporating should-cost analysis and total landed cost modeling.
• Manage sourcing for New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept through start of production (SOP).
• Serve as the primary commercial interface for global suppliers, ensuring accountability for pricing, lead times, and quality.
• Drive cost reduction through VA/VE sessions and lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, and IP protection.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Finance to align sourcing with technical feasibility and budget forecasts.

Requirements

• Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing within high-tech hardware environments (automotive, aerospace, robotics).
• Proven track record of managing complex components through NPI and low-to-mid volume production.
• Fluency in ERP and PLM systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Arena, or Windchill.
• Strong contract negotiation skills and experience with long-lead procurement strategies.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing in regulated environments (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
• Familiarity with additive manufacturing, industrial automation, or digital fabrication.
• Technical ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and BOMs.
• International sourcing experience and cross-border logistics exposure.
