What you will do
- Act as a strategic legal advisor for ISDA/CSAs, confirms, prime brokerage, and lending transactions.
- Advise on swap dealer related rules and implement global regulatory and market changes affecting trading.
- Negotiate documentation with hedge funds, crypto-native firms, and other institutional clients.
- Coordinate outside counsel engagement and collaborate with functional partners to escalate issues.
- Draft non-disclosure agreements and manage high-volume workflows in a dynamic environment.
- Leverage generative AI and automation platforms to improve productivity and output quality.
Requirements
- Active membership in the NY state bar.
- 6+ years of transactional experience reviewing financial agreements, primarily ISDA/CSAs and prime brokerage agreements.
- Deep product knowledge and regulatory experience within OTC derivatives and swap dealer businesses.
- Professional experience at a sell-side bank supporting derivative desks.
- Ability to apply traditional financial legal concepts within the crypto space to resolve ambiguous situations.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of the regulatory treatment of digital assets.
- Experience negotiating technology agreements, including SaaS, cloud, and procurement contracts.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience at a top-tier law firm.
