What you will do

• Develop and optimize CNC programs using Siemens NX for horizontal turning mills and multi-axis mill-turn platforms.
• Create advanced machining strategies for tight-tolerance rotational components and complex geometries.
• Analyze new components to determine tooling strategy, workholding concepts, and process flow.
• Design and develop machining fixtures, grinding workholding, and soft jaws using CAD.
• Collaborate with metrology and quality teams to validate inspection strategies based on GD&T principles.
• Provide direct shop-floor support during first article builds and production launches.

Requirements

• Extensive CNC programming experience with horizontal turning mills and mill-turn systems.
• Strong CAM programming capability, preferably with Siemens NX.
• Experience machining aerospace-grade materials including titanium, stainless steels, and nickel-based alloys.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and precision inspection methodologies.
• Must be located in or able to work on-site in Torrance, CA.
• Ability to lawfully access information subject to US export controls.

Nice to have

• Experience programming 5-axis precision grinding equipment.
• Familiarity with palletized machining and automated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with additive manufacturing and hybrid additive-subtractive workflows.
• Background in aerospace, automotive, defense, or turbine hardware manufacturing.
