What you will do

• Create and optimize 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for mills, lathes, and mill/turn machines.
• Develop process plans for multi-operation machinery, including multi-pallet and pallet pull systems.
• Design appropriate tooling, jigs, and fixtures, creating detailed drawings to ensure repeatable manufacturing.
• Maintain critical manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process sheets, and SOPs.
• Provide technical support on the shop floor, troubleshoot machining issues, and support first article inspections (FAI).
• Collaborate with engineering on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and mentor production machinists.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering (or 7+ years of relevant work experience).
• Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in CNC programming and operations.
• Experience in high-precision industries, specifically aerospace.
• Must have access to U.S. export-controlled information.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and G-code/M-code programming.
• Proficiency in advanced shop math, including trigonometry and geometry.

Nice to have

• Knowledge in gear manufacturing and related equipment.
• Hands-on experience with Fanuc, Siemens, or Mazatrol control types.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX, CATIA, or Mastercam.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments like CMMs.
