Salary: $90,000–$115,000 Annually

What you will do

• Develop quality-based and cost-effective manufacturing processes for New Product Introduction (NPI) using DFMA principles.
• Design tooling and holding fixtures for specialized cutting operations.
• Perform critical analysis and troubleshooting during process prove-out to achieve targeted quality yield and efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement activities in the machine shop for complex parts and sub-assemblies.
• Maintain technical ownership of gear production equipment, including programming and fixture specifications.
• Research and specify capital equipment for capacity and technology improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical engineering, or equivalent seasoned experience.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably with aerospace cylindrical steel components.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes: Turning, Milling, and various Grinding (OD/ID, Surface, Jig).
• Familiarity with gear machining: Shaping, Hobbing, Broaching, and Gear Grinding.
• Proficiency in 3D Modeling, GD&T, and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis using 5 Why’s and Fishbone diagrams.

Nice to have

• Experience with NX and Team Center.
• Strong knowledge of gears/splines manufacturing and inspection methods.
• Experience with Zeiss CMM inspection methods and reports.
• Familiarity with AS9100 requirements.
