Salary: $180,000 - $240,000 USD (Base)

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a primarily US-based engineering team to ensure technical excellence and ownership.
• Drive core operations initiatives including trade booking, reconciliation, and settlement workflows.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for senior business stakeholders in Trading, Operations, Finance, and Compliance.
• Provide technical oversight on system design and architecture for scalable and resilient trade systems.
• Coordinate with global leadership and Asia-based teams to align priorities and manage dependencies across time zones.
• Implement and champion the adoption of generative AI and automation tools to improve team output and business outcomes.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering with significant leadership and stakeholder-facing experience.
• Deep expertise in financial services, specifically trade lifecycle systems (middle/back office, settlements).
• Strong technical foundation in modern system design (APIs, databases, cloud, event-driven architectures).
• Proficiency in Java and Python environments.
• Proven ability to drive collaboration and delivery across geographically distributed teams.
• Must be located in New York City.

Nice to have

• Experience in digital assets, DeFi, or crypto markets.
• Familiarity with both traditional finance and emerging market infrastructures.
• Experience scaling global engineering teams and driving process maturity.
• Background in multi-asset trade capture and settlement systems.
