What you will do

• Define and enforce engineering standards, API conventions, and cloud-native patterns across multiple product squads.
• Establish non-negotiable quality gates, including contract testing, performance, and accessibility standards.
• Define SRE frameworks, SLO/SLI policies, and incident response protocols to ensure system reliability.
• Govern AI adoption by setting guardrails for LLM integration, RAG standards, and auditability in a regulated context.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture to influence design decisions and translate field learnings into scalable patterns.
• Elevate developer experience by building golden path templates and improving CI/CD velocity.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in platform engineering, product, or technology leadership.
• 5+ years leading engineering or product organizations in a B2C or customer-facing environment.
• Must obtain FINRA SIE and Series 99 licenses within 120 days of employment.
• Deep expertise in cloud-native engineering (AWS/Azure), DevSecOps, and automation at scale.
• Proven ability to lead distributed engineering teams and drive execution in a matrixed organization.
• Strong understanding of application security and compliance within regulated financial environments.

Nice to have

• Prior hands-on experience with .NET, Java (Spring Boot), or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of retail advice and brokerage ecosystems like Pershing, Schwab, or Envestnet.
• Familiarity with wealth platform integrations and advisory models.
