What you will do

• Lead functional testing for Day-Ahead/Real-time Market and Transmission Network Applications, including State Estimator (SE) and Real Time Contingency Analysis (RTCA).
• Support the operations floor (day-ahead and real-time desks) and provide technical guidance to on-call staff.
• Identify and resolve complex engineering problems and determine root causes of system errors for prompt recovery.
• Define functional requirements for Market Operations and advanced Network Applications to improve system capabilities.
• Mentor, coach, and train staff while setting daily work priorities to optimize team performance.
• Coordinate software changes and integrations with internal departments and external vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (emphasis in Power Systems) or Computer Science.
• 6+ years of related experience in Power Systems, Power Systems Operations, or Market Operations.
• Experience with Energy Management Systems (EMS), Real-time systems, or advanced network applications.
• Proficiency with SQL, Oracle, or CIMXML.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity at the Folsom, CA location.

Nice to have

• Master's Degree in a related field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) certification.
