What you will do

• Define low-voltage system architectures and communication networks in collaboration with OEM partners and internal teams.
• Write detailed requirements for embedded software and hardware interfaces to ensure seamless integration with the self-driving system.
• Develop safety-critical work products including safety concepts, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and FMEDA.
• Create and execute Verification and Validation (V&V) plans, including fault injection testing and field issue analysis.
• Review design documents with software teams to ensure requirements are met and manage delivery timelines for prototype fleet software.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Communications, or Automotive Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of electrical power systems and design for fault tolerance in safety-critical environments.
• Understanding of Functional Safety requirements as defined in ISO 26262.
• Ability to negotiate technical requirements with OEMs and execute effective Design Verification Plans (DVPs).
• Software code comprehension skills.
• Must be able to work on-site in Mountain View, California.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience in automotive electrical low-voltage systems and software delivery.
• Working knowledge of vehicle communication networks (CAN, FlexRay, LIN, Ethernet).
• Experience with ASIL D LV systems and system-level FMEA.
• Proficiency with LV system components like DCDC, batteries, and charge control.
• Experience using SQL for large data set analysis.
