What you will do

• Coordinate and approve planned transmission system outages to ensure grid security and reliable operations.
• Manage energy schedules and interchange to meet Balancing Authority Area obligations and emergency responses.
• Monitor and respond to telemetry alarms, SCADA failures, and other real-time grid anomalies.
• Maintain detailed logs and documentation for grid operations and prepare required reports.
• Implement transmission service rights and collaborate with transmission owners for data acquisition and maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
• NERC System Operator Certification required.
• 2 years of experience as a system operator or completion of the CA ISO formal Operations Trainee program.
• Experience with California or other major WECC transmission grids preferred.
• Ability to operate effectively in high-stress, dynamic emergency environments.
