Transmission Line Engineer

TL;DR

Transmission Line Engineer (Engineering): Leading and managing overhead transmission and distribution line design projects with an accent on structural analysis, equipment selection, and project scheduling. Location: Must be authorized to work in the United States. Role is available as full-time remote or in-office in Lakewood, CO.

Salary: $85,000 – $125,000 / year

What you will do

• Engineer and manage overhead transmission and distribution line designs.
• Produce and review full design packages, including plan and profile drawings and structure loading diagrams.
• Perform structural calculations and models for steel, wood, and concrete designs.
• Create project schedules, cost estimates, and material specifications.
• Provide technical assistance and training for junior engineers and designers.
• Perform field inspections and construction supervision services.

Requirements

• BSCE or BSCET degree from an accredited institution.
• 1–5 years of engineering experience with at least 3 years using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• FE licensure (PE is a plus).
• Strong understanding of NESC, ASCE, AISC, and IEEE standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice to have

• Experience with PLS-CADD Optimum Spotting tool.
• Experience with MFAD or L-pile for foundation design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
