Senior Commercial Underwriter (Commercial Credit)

What you will do

• Analyze complex commercial credit relationships of $2,500,000 and greater, including financial statements, cash flows, global cash flows, collateral valuations, and credit requests.
• Perform loan and annual reviews for selected commercial borrowers and guarantors.
• Identify policy, collateral, and documentation exceptions, and assess relationship strengths and weaknesses.
• Support relationship managers with credit structuring, covenant assessment, monitoring procedures, customer calls, and site visits.
• Maintain credit files and assist the Loan Committee with reports, meeting materials, and minutes.
• Train, mentor, and supervise credit analysts and support workflow distribution in the manager’s absence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Seven or more years of credit analysis experience required, or an equivalent combination of credit and banking experience.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, ratios, accounting principles, and financial techniques.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, research, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with financial reports, Microsoft Word and Excel, Moody’s, Outlook, and bank-specific software such as MPC, IBS, and ADP.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage competing deadlines, and lead or mentor employees.
