Commercial Underwriter (Native American Banking & Gaming)

Location: Fully onsite at the posted location in the Las Vegas/Henderson, Nevada area

Salary: $70,000–$120,000 per year, with potential performance-based incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Analyze and evaluate new and renewal credit requests for Native American Banking and Gaming clients.
• Prepare concise credit recommendations, including quantitative analysis, risk ratings, policy exception identification, and loan coding.
• Analyze business, industry, and financial information to identify risks and support loan structuring.
• Monitor borrower performance, spread financial statements, calculate covenants, and address covenant violations.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, commercial relationship managers, CSMs, and Native American Banking teams on customer needs and credit approvals.
• Support regulatory compliance, required training, and occasional coaching or mentoring.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of commercial credit analysis or underwriting experience, or equivalent experience.
• Intermediate accounting knowledge and experience analyzing commercial credit, term loans, real estate, nonprofit, or specialty lending.
• Ability to spread company and personal financial statements, including tax returns, using Moody’s Risk Analyst or a comparable tool.
• Experience with bank credit policies, procedures, practices, and documentation.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related business software.
