What you will do

• Lead the development of new Canvas platform capabilities from problem definition to release.
• Architect and build flexible, maintainable systems with accountability for performance and reliability.
• Design developer-friendly APIs and service boundaries for internal teams.
• Work on large-scale concurrent and real-time collaboration systems, ensuring synchronization and low latency.
• Integrate AI-enabled product capabilities into the canvas and document model.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards, processes, and culture.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United Kingdom or Argentina.
• 10+ years of experience building large-scale production software in agile teams.
• Fluency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript with experience in React or Node.js.
• 3+ years of experience building distributed, concurrent, or real-time systems.
• Strong background in architecting complex systems with rich object models and spatial indexing.
• Proven track record of delivering AI-enabled product capabilities in production.
• Expertise in performance optimization, profiling, and architectural simplification.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with parallel processing, off-main-thread architectures, or multithreaded systems.
• Experience operating in high-growth, fast-paced scale-up environments.
