What you will do

  • Own the technical strategy and reference architectures for AI-native systems, including RAG pipelines and agent orchestration.
  • Ship production code and conduct rigorous architecture and code reviews for complex distributed systems.
  • Establish engineering-wide standards for AI-assisted development, prompt libraries, and AI-generated code governance.
  • Drive architectural consistency across multiple product areas to prevent fragmentation.
  • Set organizational bars for engineering excellence, observability, and system reliability.
  • Mentor senior engineers and build communities of practice around AI-native engineering.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of owning technical strategy across multiple teams.
  • Deep proficiency in at least two modern programming languages and experience with distributed systems at scale.
  • Hands-on experience building AI features, such as LLM integrations, RAG architectures, and embedding pipelines.
  • Strong expertise with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), container orchestration, and CI/CD.
  • Experience developing B2B SaaS products.
  • Must be based in Toronto, ON for a hybrid work arrangement.
