Salary: $223,600 - $358,900 USD (based on US location zones).

What you will do

• Lead a compact AI platform team through architecture, implementation, and production launch.
• Stay hands-on by reviewing designs, inspecting traces, and debugging production behavior.
• Define platform contracts for agent capabilities, tools, actions, and evaluation harnesses.
• Partner with Product, Security, and Data teams to ensure safe and measurable agent capabilities.
• Drive evaluation as part of everyday engineering, including regression suites and quality gates.
• Hire, coach, and retain strong engineers in a fast-moving AI environment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in technical leadership.
• Strong technical background with the ability to read code, review plans, and debug distributed systems.
• Experience shipping AI, ML, data, or platform systems in production.
• Practical understanding of modern LLM application architecture and agent workflows.
• Strong engineering judgment across APIs, observability, reliability, and multi-tenant SaaS constraints.
• Must be based in the US or Canada with ability to work significant Pacific Time overlap.

Nice to have

• Experience building agent runtimes, workflow engines, or model gateways.
• Background in compliance-sensitive workflows, audit trails, or policy engines.
• Experience integrating AI into complex enterprise products like ERP, CRM, or fintech.
