What you will do

• Design and build a scalable platform and data pipelines to ingest, transform, and serve data to AI models.
• Develop and iterate on AI/ML components, including LLM-based agents and behavioral simulation layers.
• Architect and maintain data infrastructure such as feature stores, vector databases, and real-time serving layers.
• Collaborate with researchers to translate persona logic into functional system components.
• Write production-quality code and contribute to engineering standards and technical roadmaps.
• Monitor model and pipeline performance in production to proactively resolve issues.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site at our Edmonton, AB, Canada location.
• 3–5 years of experience in software, data, or ML engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and data processing frameworks like Spark, dbt, or Airflow.
• Experience building and deploying ML models or AI components in production.
• Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and agent frameworks.
• Experience with cloud data infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake.
• Background in behavioral modeling, simulation, or agent-based systems.
• Experience in NLP, computational social science, or user modeling.
• Contributions to open-source AI or data tooling.
• Experience in a startup or early-stage product environment.
