What you will do

• Create and manage CAD designs and BOM structures for Nodes™ and full vehicle structures.
• Develop and analyze FE Models, performing validation via hand calculations and optimization.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design structures optimized for mass, production, and assembly.
• Act as a technical liaison with customers to track and achieve product requirements.
• Develop technical solutions for aerospace structures to support external programs and joint development.
• Maintain engineering documentation, including system-level DFMEA and DVP.

Requirements

• Ability to lawfully access information subject to US export controls.
• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in structure design and CAD detailed modeling (Siemens NX is a plus).
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as Nastran, Optistruct, or LS-Dyna.
• Deep understanding of solid mechanics and linear/nonlinear behavior of advanced materials (composites, adhesives, metals).
• Experience with aerospace load applications and MIL-STDs.

Nice to have

• Experience with DFMEA, DVP, control plans, PPAP, and APQP.
• Knowledge of overall vehicle systems and sub-systems requirements.
• Experience interfacing with DoD airworthiness stakeholders such as AFTC or FAA.
• Experience with fast iteration prototyping programs.
