What you will do

• Build and analyze FE Models of Node™-based vehicle structures for aerospace flight and automotive applications.
• Apply cutting-edge FE/CAE methodology, including nonlinear geometry and material, implicit and explicit techniques.
• Create and execute technical solutions for aerospace structures to support external customer programs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design structures optimized for mass, production, and assembly.
• Implement cost reductions and product improvements while supporting prototype and production build activities.
• Prepare and present technical analysis summaries and reports to engineering teams.

Requirements

• Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
• BS or MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in aerospace or automotive structural analysis.
• 4+ years of experience with software such as Nastran, Optistruct, ABAQUS, and/or LS-Dyna.
• 4+ years of experience in non-linear, dynamic stiffness, and durability analyses.
• Proficiency with Altair Hypermesh or Beta CAE ANSA preprocessors.

Nice to have

• Experience with material characterization and physical test correlation.
• Knowledge of automotive full vehicle homologation procedures.
• Experience with aerospace load applications and MIL-STDs.
• Direct engagement with DoD airworthiness stakeholders such as AFTC or FAA.
