What you will do

• Utilize virtual (CAE) tools to design, develop, and validate electric motors and drive units.
• Engineer propulsion systems for future electric vehicles with a focus on durability, efficiency, and noise.
• Build and run analytical models to drive design based on virtual assessments.
• Capture and synthesize information from various internal and external sources.
• Interpret simulation results to optimize propulsion system performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a HV Battery Simulation Program Lead, Propulsion Virtual Simulation Engineer, or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in model creation and FEA analysis.
• Proficiency with CAE Structural analysis solvers including ABAQUS, NASTRAN, and Optistruct.
• Expertise in structural engineering, materials, large-scale nonlinear problems, optimization, and reliability.
• Must be based in or able to report to the local office in Warren, Michigan.
