What you will do

• Develop 3D and 2D models and engineering drawings for passive thermal insulation systems using CREO.
• Design MLI blanket flat patterns, layup stackups, and installation details for complex geometries.
• Support cryo-MLI and SOFI documentation, including purge provisions and thickness callouts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with thermal and structures engineering teams.
• Manage drawing revisions and incorporate feedback to ensure review-ready documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3–8 years of experience in engineering design or drafting within aerospace or defense.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Proficiency in CREO for 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation (.drw format).
• Demonstrated ability to develop and document engineering requirements.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with MLI, cryo-MLI, or SOFI design and documentation.
• Experience working on programs with NASA, commercial space, or DoD space customers.
• Knowledge of cryogenic propellant system design and aerospace manufacturing processes.
• Experience with WindChill PLM.
• Experience working in an ITAR-controlled environment.
