Mechanical Engineer

TL;DR

Mechanical Engineer: Designing and developing mechanical products such as ammunition handling systems and missile launchers with an accent on CAD modeling and technical analysis. Focus on ensuring compliance with military specifications and standards through rigorous testing and documentation.

Location: Hybrid in Maple Grove, MN (3 days on-site required, no relocation)

What you will do

• Design and develop mechanical products including structures, gun systems, and mechanisms.
• Perform technical analysis, testing, and evaluation of engineering problems.
• Create and maintain product parts, assemblies, and drawings using PTC Creo Parametric.
• Analyze design specifications and test results to ensure compliance with military standards.
• Develop and revise technical documentation and provide input for project plans.
• Collaborate with internal and external shops to support manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Working knowledge of CAD systems, preferably PTC Pro-E or CREO.
• Ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with military and commercial design standards.
• Working knowledge of GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience with Tolerance Stack Analysis.
• Experience with EPOM systems, preferably Windchill.
