What you will do

• Drive mechanical architecture decisions for integrated products, balancing thermal, optical, and structural requirements.
• Lead system-level problem solving and root cause analysis to maintain program momentum.
• Partner with Industrial Design and Product Management to translate product vision into manufacturable solutions.
• Manage DFM/DFT and tooling development directly with Asia-based manufacturing partners and suppliers.
• Provide technical guidance across mechanical, thermal, and optical domains to guide the broader team.
• Represent mechanical engineering in executive updates, phase gates, and design reviews.

Requirements

• 8-12+ years of mechanical engineering experience in high-volume electronics product development.
• Demonstrated ability to operate at the system/architecture level across multiple technical subsystems.
• Deep expertise in plastics, metals, fabric design, injection molding, and die casting.
• Proven experience working with contract manufacturers in Taiwan or China.
• Proficiency with Pro/E (Creo), SolidWorks, or equivalent 3D CAD tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with passive cooling, heat pipes, and thermal interface materials in constrained enclosures.
• Background in optical system integration, including lens assemblies and sensor mounting.
• Experience with video conferencing, cameras, or similar AV devices.
• Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.
• Mandarin language skills.
