Manager, Networking

Location: Hybrid role based in Datadog's global headquarters in New York City, with three days in the office each week and occasional travel to offices worldwide. Other listed locations include Boston, Massachusetts, and Denver, Colorado.

Salary: $152,000–$180,000 USD yearly, plus equity and possible variable compensation.

What you will do

• Lead global network engineering teams, including full-time employees and third-party vendors.
• Oversee the design, deployment, and scaling of office network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, direct internet access, edge networking, and conference room technology.
• Manage Cisco Meraki Wi-Fi and Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, and other edge networking solutions against defined service level objectives.
• Define and implement infrastructure standards, policies, and processes focused on security, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with IT Security, Enterprise Technology, Workplace, and executive stakeholders.
• Develop operational metrics for service availability and network performance and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing teams of network engineers.
• Deep expertise in Wi-Fi network engineering, including Cisco Meraki and enterprise edge networking solutions.
• Experience managing large-scale office technology projects in global enterprises with more than 10 offices and 7,000+ employees.
• Strong vendor management experience, including provider selection, negotiation, and oversight.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills across IT, Workplace, Security, and executive stakeholders.
• Preferred: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certification.
