What you will do
- Serve as a subject matter expert for data observability for both internal teams and the external community.
- Develop technical content including demos, blog posts, documentation, and research reports to build brand reputation.
- Publicly represent the company through speaking engagements, webinars, and open-source contributions.
- Coach internal product and engineering teams on effective technical communication and presentations.
- Provide a critical feedback loop to the product team via bug reports and enhancement suggestions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a software developer, data engineer, or SRE building production systems.
- 3+ years of experience in developer relations or advocacy reaching technical audiences.
- Deep hands-on experience with distributed processing (e.g., Apache Spark, Databricks) and analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one language like Python, Scala, Java, or Go.
- Knowledge of streaming systems (Kafka) and data quality/lineage tools (dbt, OpenLineage).
- Must be based in California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, or Washington.

- Experience supporting data pipelines for ML or AI systems.
- Meaningful contributions to open-source projects or shared technical tooling.
