What you will do

• Design and construct the scientific hardware and control interfaces (hardware and software) for the quantum computing platform.
• Generate intellectual property related to the design and operation of neutral-atom-based quantum computers.
• Distill and communicate scientific findings through internal reports, external publications, and presentations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experimental physicists, hardware engineers, and software engineers.

Requirements

• PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of industry experience designing and operating quantum computing hardware.
• Extensive knowledge of state-of-the-art techniques in atomic physics and quantum computing research.
• Deep understanding of the fundamental interactions between light and matter.
• Proven ability to independently execute complex scientific and technical investigations.
• Must be able to work on-site in Boulder, CO and lift objects up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python.
• Experience with Git software version control.
