TL;DR
Data Scientist (Legal AI): Developing predictive AI and ML solutions to drive business growth and product innovation with an accent on statistical analysis and GenAI integration. Focus on translating complex business requirements into actionable data science solutions and deploying ML models into production.
Location: Hybrid; expectation for local employees in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Dublin, London, New York City, and Sydney to be in office at least twice per week.
Salary: $111,400 – $150,600 CAD

What you will do
- Develop and deploy predictive AI and ML solutions into production environments.
- Apply statistical analysis, GenAI, and LLMs to unlock new product opportunities and insights.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and business teams to refine hypotheses and shape strategy.
- Analyze business, product, and customer data to provide high-impact recommendations.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to diverse stakeholders to ensure data-driven action.
Requirements
- 3+ years of applied experience in data science.
- Proficiency in Python and relevant ML libraries such as pandas, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
- Ability to write structured SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical data science solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for storytelling with data.
Nice to have
- Understanding of SaaS business metrics and growth drivers.
- Experience with Databricks.
- Expertise in retention or churn analysis using user behavior data.
- Experience with LLMs and GenAI tools like LangChain or Graph.
- Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline (CS, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering).
