What you will do

• Design and build machine learning, NLP, and generative AI systems for scientific discovery and knowledge extraction.
• Work with large-scale, complex scientific data including publications, knowledge graphs, and taxonomies.
• Develop capabilities for semantic search, information retrieval, entity extraction, and evidence-grounded generation.
• Build, evaluate, and fine-tune models for integration into robust production systems.
• Write clean, production-quality Python code and contribute to scalable data pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate ambiguous requirements into measurable, data-driven outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience in data science, machine learning, AI, NLP, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience working with frontier LLMs and fine-tuning LLMs or SLMs.
• Strong Python skills with a focus on clean, maintainable, and tested code.
• Solid grasp of machine learning fundamentals including model evaluation and performance measurement.
• Experience working with large-scale structured or unstructured text datasets.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into practical, measurable solutions.
