What you will do

• Own and build Workato-based automations across the People tech stack to eliminate manual processes and connect disparate systems.
• Establish and maintain a governance framework for automation, including standards, documentation, and access controls.
• Identify and fill automation gaps between Workday, Greenhouse, payroll systems, and other third-party tools.
• Partner with People Team leadership to analyze current systems and shape the future roadmap of tools and capabilities.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, integration architecture, and workflow logic.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in HR technology, People systems, or a related technical role.
• Hands-on experience building and managing automations using Workato or a comparable iPaaS platform (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi).
• Proven track record of owning solutions in production, including governance and ongoing stewardship.
• Ability to translate business requirements from the People team into scalable technical solutions.
• Must be based in New York, New York
• Minimum of a baccalaureate degree.

Nice to have

• Workato certification(s).
• Strong working knowledge of Workday HCM configuration, business process frameworks, and reporting.
• Experience maturing an automation governance practice, including recipe libraries and change control.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled HR tools and agentic workflows.
• Fluency in Google apps, Greenhouse, and Jira.
