What you will do

• Provide compliance oversight and guidance to senior stakeholders on regulatory matters, risk assessments, and frameworks for new services and partnerships.
• Review and provide compliance input on commercial contracts to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Conduct compliance assessments of product designs and data flows to identify and mitigate regulatory risks.
• Contribute to the development of legal infrastructure, including templates, playbooks, and internal operational tooling.
• Develop and maintain privacy compliance programs, including data protection impact assessments for GDPR and CCPA.
• Establish efficient, scalable compliance monitoring systems and guidelines for proactive regulatory integration into products.

Requirements

• J.D. (or equivalent) with admission to practice in at least one U.S. state or another common law jurisdiction.
• 4+ years of experience at a top-tier law firm and/or as in-house counsel.
• Proven expertise advising on GDPR, CCPA, and cross-border privacy compliance.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and global compliance frameworks.
• Strong experience negotiating B2B SaaS agreements.
• Must be based in New York City to work on-site.
