What you will do

• Develop metrology equipment used in the semiconductor industry to solve challenging requirements.
• Perform data collection, analysis, and calibration using Python or Matlab.
• Execute hands-on hardware work within lab and cleanroom environments.
• Define and implement plans for system integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Utilize feedback control system design and signal processing to characterize mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with customer support and perform occasional travel to customer sites (less than 10%).

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Milpitas, CA.
• Education and experience: PhD with 3+ years, Master's with 6+ years, or Bachelor's with 8+ years of related experience.
• Strong expertise in experimental design and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) experimentation.
• Solid understanding of feedback control system design and signal processing.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of precision machine design.
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of numerical optimization.
• Experience with image processing.
