Base pay: $141,300–$240,200 per year

What you will do

• Develop mechatronics systems for semiconductor metrology equipment as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Collect and analyze data, perform calibration, and write scripts using Python or Matlab.
• Conduct hands-on hardware experiments in laboratories and cleanrooms.
• Define system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and characterization plans.
• Apply feedback control, system identification, signal processing, and experimental design to mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with customer support and travel to customer sites occasionally, less than 10%.

Requirements

• Doctorate with 3 years of related experience, a master’s degree with 6 years, or a bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of feedback control system design, system identification, and signal processing.
• Experience with experimental design and hardware-in-the-loop experimentation.
• Basic or intermediate knowledge of precision machine design.
• Ability to work independently, take responsibility, and ramp up quickly through documentation and on-the-job training.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of numerical optimization and image processing.
