Salary: $173,000–$259,600 USD (Washington, DC range: $190,300–$285,500 USD)

What you will do
- Lead creative direction and experience design for exhibits, installations, and activations, ensuring visually compelling and emotionally resonant audience experiences aligned with strategic priorities.
- Integrate physical experiences with digital ecosystems (social, web, video, and interactive storytelling) to amplify engagement.
- Develop and oversee exhibit and activation strategy in collaboration with visitor experience experts, campaigns & channels colleagues, and subject matter experts.
- Steward and evolve the brand visual design system across environments and physical brand assets, guiding consistent high-quality application.
- Direct vendor selection and management, steward budgets, set production timelines, and coordinate partners to deliver experiences on schedule and within scope.
- Partner on narrative arcs, storyboards, and audience journeys; define evaluation metrics and collaborate with experiential and facilitation leads to drive measurable impact.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience leading creative development for exhibits, experiential activations, and brand installations outside the U.S., including emerging markets.
- Advanced degree required (Design, Experience Design, Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, Fine Arts, or related field preferred) with demonstrated experience or equivalent.
- Strong visual and spatial design expertise across physical and digital environments (materials, lighting, flow, and storytelling through space).
- Proven ability to lead and evolve brand visual design systems across environments and touchpoints.
- Ability to connect physical experiences to digital ecosystems (social media, web, video, interactive storytelling).
- Unrestricted work authorization required in the country where the position is located; no immigration sponsorship provided.
