Salary: $120,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do
- Architect, design, and deliver grid-tied power converters from concept through production.
- Manage the full hardware development lifecycle, including requirements definition, modeling, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
- Develop detailed electrical models of converter circuits to support performance analysis and design optimization.
- Select power components and design protection circuitry ensuring compliance with safety and grid standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, mechanical, reliability, and manufacturing teams for seamless integration.
- Innovate power converter architectures to improve efficiency and power density.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in the design and industrialization of power converters.
- Deep understanding of power electronics topologies and high-voltage semiconductor devices (IGBTs, Si/SiC MOSFETs).
- Strong expertise in magnetic component design and capacitor selection for high-voltage/high-frequency operation.
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as SPICE, PLECS, LTspice, or Simulink and lab instrumentation.
- Work authorization in the United States.
Nice to have
- Experience with medium-voltage systems (5kV–35kV), including insulation coordination and partial discharge.
- Familiarity with grid-tied hardware such as switchgear, circuit breakers, or protective relays.
- Background in reliability engineering and accelerated life testing (HALT, HASS, FMEA).
- Exposure to manufacturing processes for high-power assemblies (busbars, potting, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with test automation using Python or LabVIEW.
