TL;DR

Principal Officer, Measurement, Learning & Evaluation (Philanthropy): Designing and stewarding a division-wide MLE system to enable evidence-informed strategic decisions for equitable upward mobility with an accent on impact measurement and cross-portfolio synthesis. Focus on translating complex data into actionable leadership insights and establishing standardized measurement guardrails to drive resource allocation.

Location: Seattle, WA. Must have unrestricted work authorization in the US; no immigration sponsorship provided.

Salary: $212,800 – $362,800 USD

What you will do

  • Lead the design and stewardship of the division-wide impact model and shared outcomes aligned to Ambition 2045.
  • Establish and govern shared measurement standards, definitions, and reporting norms across portfolios.
  • Synthesize cross-portfolio insights to inform leadership tradeoffs, prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Design and facilitate structured forums to embed learning throughout the strategy and investment lifecycle.
  • Provide leadership for the MLE community of practice to ensure coherence and quality of deliverables.
  • Partner with the AI Enablement hub to integrate AI-enabled learning systems into the MLE process.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted work authorization in the US is required (no sponsorship available).
  • Advanced degree in economics, public policy, education, statistics, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in measurement, evaluation, research, or analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and leading complex measurement and learning systems at scale.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment in matrixed, ambiguous environments.
  • Exceptional executive-level communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills.
