Salary: $255,000–$275,000 Annually

What you will do

• Establish and lead the AI Enablement Center, defining the enterprise AI strategy and roadmap.
• Govern the AI portfolio from ideation through value realization across commercial and ITAR-compliant environments.
• Build, inspire, and retain a world-class team of AI practitioners, architects, and engineers.
• Chair the AI Governance Board and report KPIs and ROI metrics to the Executive Steering Committee.
• Manage significant technology investment portfolios exceeding $10M.
• Act as the company's AI thought leader, representing the organization with vendors, research institutions, and regulators.

Requirements

• Over 15 years of technology leadership experience, with at least 5 years in AI, ML, or data science.
• Demonstrated success leading high-performing technical organizations of 30+ people.
• Deep knowledge of LLMs, generative AI, MLOps, and AI-embedded enterprise platforms.
• Experience operating in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, healthcare, or financial services.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• Must be based in the Buffalo, NY area or be willing to relocate.

Nice to have

• Experience with ITAR, EAR, CMMC, or other defense/export control regulatory frameworks.
• Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Executive education or certification in AI strategy, ethics, or governance.
