What you will do

• Define and own the multi-year automation strategy and roadmap for the manufacturing environment.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of automation, controls, robotics, and AI/data integration professionals.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of automation programs from concept and business case to implementation and support.
• Champion the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies, including computer vision, predictive maintenance, and autonomous inspection.
• Standardize SCADA and IoT platforms (Ignition, Kepware, AWS IoT) to connect the factory floor with AI layers.
• Manage the automation budget and capital investment planning to maximize ROI.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee.
• M.S. degree or higher in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Electrical, Controls, Computer Science, or related engineering field.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing automation or controls.
• 5+ years of senior leadership experience managing and scaling multidisciplinary automation teams.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, robotics, SCADA, IoT, and AI/ML applications in manufacturing.

Nice to have

• Experience leading digital transformation or Industry 4.0 initiatives in aerospace or defense.
• Hands-on background in controls engineering and robotics.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and data pipelines for manufacturing analytics.
• Knowledge of safety and controls standards such as IEC 61131, ANSI B11, and NFPA 79.
