TL;DR

GPU Thermal Management Design Engineer (Hardware): Architecting and validating thermal management and fan control features for hirify.global dGPU products with an accent on high-performance thermal solutions and platform optimization. Focus on simulating heat transfer, optimizing fan control architecture, and ensuring thermal and acoustic requirements are met for discrete graphics cards.

Location: Must live and work from Canada (fully home-based, occasional site visits required)

Salary: CAD 109,380.00-154,420.00

hirify.global's Data Center Group (DCG) develops Xeon-based solutions and custom x86 products for general-purpose compute, HPC, and AI-accelerated systems.

What you will do

  • Architect, simulate, and validate thermal management and fan control features for dGPU products.
  • Design and optimize high-performance thermal solutions and overall platform designs for dGPU cards and systems.
  • Collaborate with firmware, software, and driver teams to ensure products meet thermal and acoustic requirements.
  • Research and explore new thermal-mechanical technologies to maintain industry leadership in thermal performance.
  • Work with cross-functional system engineering teams (mechanical, PCB, power design) and OEM/ODM partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience applying fundamentals of heat transfer and fluid dynamics.
  • 3+ years of experience with thermal debug and analysis.
  • Must be based in Canada.

Nice to have

  • Experience with heat sink fundamentals in the PC ecosystem.
  • Testing high-performance air-cooled or liquid-cooled thermal mechanical solutions.
  • Proficiency with thermal simulation software such as Icepak or Flotherm.
  • 3D Modeling experience using Creo/ProE or SolidWorks.
  • Experience with PCIe, OAM, or other desktop/server form factors.
